Canopies in the City

This Sheffield Bid funded project is something I proposed. The goal is to install multiple murals across the city that give a sense of looking up at the trees. Although abstract, my thought is that I can bring some calm into the cities chaotic urban landscape. Nature is what helps my mental health and Sheffield reflects my attitude towards it. It’s a city intertwined with nature, development and decay. My hope is that someone will look at the murals and get that feeling I get when I’m staring up at the refracted light through the leaves.
